Pod specializes in the design and construction of inner city urban landscapes—both residential and commercial. Whether it’s invigorating a tired garden or starting from scratch, whether it’s a courtyard, a kitchen or a beer garden, we listen to your wishes and design you a solution that meets your personality, lifestyle, needs and budget.
Al started his career as a trainee gardener at the Royal Melbourne Zoo. A qualified horticulturist, he has worked for award-winning landscaping firms and leading nurseries. Along with excellent knowledge of plants and their requirements, he has extensive experience in designing and creating the supporting structural elements (paving, decking, retaining walls, gazebos, etc) that give an outdoor space its form and foundation.

TESTIMONIALS
Thanks Al! You’ve transformed my dark, overgrown courtyard into a light-filled sanctuary that now looks twice the size. I have a whole new ‘room’ in my house, where I’m choosing to spend more and more of my time.

The Melbourne Food & Wine Festival was delighted to secure Pod Garden Design to deliver two of the four ‘Feasting Vignettes’ around the CBD in 2010 – living visual arts installations made from edible plants. Al Radovanovic created imaginative and playful installations grounded to the sites and to the brief, which were extremely effective in increasing the Festival’s presence in the city, creating visual talking points and generating media interest.
The projects were brought in on time and within budget and communication throughout the project was always straightforward and timely.  The Festival would happily recommend Al and Pod Garden Design to anyone seeking an original artistic garden solution. Thanks Al!
